I apologize for all of the few updates here however the website is being built by…me. Therefore, I have less time to spend here on the blog. However, once the site is launched, all will be back to normal yet with much more updates and a huge shift in the life of Strong Truths and all of its contributors! I apologize that you guys may be bored in the meantime, just write as you always do, send me new work if you have any, i’m always up for a break with new work by you guys!

• For all of you who have finished editing the first revision of your work, thank you for sending it to me! For those of you who have not received the revised versions of your work it is on the way, we’re working hard to get all of you your edited pieces! Be patient with us, we’re working hard everyday to keep Strong Truths going smoothly!

October 26th 2008

Strong Soulutions (visit site) launched! It is for writers to post their work and receive comments from other writers, as well as Strong Truths Editors Tracey Dahl and Gene Marie.

If you post on Deviantart, Yahoo Answers or another site such as that, this page is for you, however created for the writer!

If you have a wordpress account, email it to me and I will add you as a contributor so you may add your work when you see fit, or you can create a wordpress account without creating a blog. You may also use the upload form placed on Strong Soulutions.

• I added a new page titled ‘Verse’ dedicated to you guys, the contributors! It will highlight writers of all kinds, and a featured piece of their writing to expose you to new work, open up your mind for the day, add to your thoughts, inspire you, help you, touch you, save you,  whatever it may be. I made this page for you ! Please use it, check it out enjoy! I will have a new writer and a piece of their work every Wednesday of each week.  You can view the first Verse here.

September 8 2008

• I went hunting through different types of books and I am pretty sure I am going to have the book separated by author therefore everyone will have their own little section. I noticed most books are divided by subject…which means we’re going to do the exact opposite. It is almost definite that the work (in the book) will be separated by author which means every writer will have their own section so your fans/readers can enjoy an individual collection of your work. So, if you find yourself writing a lot these days or not writing as much take your time but it is imperative that you add more work, or your collection will only have one or two pages. September 2 2008 -T.shirt designs! Where visual and written meet head on

• It is money raising time! Our first money raiser is clothing. I am designing t.shirts, hoodies, sweaters etc with the Strong Truth theme. I am also holding a contest (maybe two) each month to design a t.shirt for Strong Truths. Winners get a t.shirt named after them or a t.shirt line named after them, and I just might toss in a free shirt. Those who do not win first place, if your designs are approved for a tee, you will get full credit for the design. I will be posting lines from Strong Truths contributors pieces that you can work into your artwork as well.(writers, if you have poetry or lines you’d like to be used message me, please view the lines I have selected from your work here…these will change monthly as well)  Please check the blog for more information on sizes and what the clothing will look like. • I would like to welcome Nick Schrandt as a new contributor. He is contributing two riveting short stories to Strong Truths. You may preview his work on the Short Stories page.
• I have created the visual arts page, we are now accepting artwork for the book. I am looking for artists who are also able to create a specific art piece for a written piece. Please contact me for more information.
• If and when your work has been revised and you have downloaded your revised file of your work, remember to thoroughly read through our comments, and do an edit of your own using our comments as a guide.  We have checked spelling and grammar. We also take an indepth look at the technical aspects, story structure, character development etc. Our comments are there to help improve your piece and your writing. You can meet with me or both of us (Tracey and I) online if you would like help with this process. It’s what we’re here for, use us lol! Once you have revised it yourself, you email the file back to me for a final revision before it is labeled as completed and ready for publishing. August 19th 2008 – New contributor

• Tracey and I have been editing constantly, we have uploaded a lot work and we have seen that a selection of you guys have been downloading your work! That is great! This will make the editing process much faster. For those of you whose work has still not been posted as a complete edit, it’s coming! Be patient, we’re working very quickly. August 8th 2008 – new chat!

• New chat is up! You can click the link to your right or click here: chat now! (please use your first name so I know who you are)
• Just in case you guys are big on the msn/yahoo messenger idea I’m working on installing a better chat on the blog! The one I have right now sucks, but I’ve been googling all day and I’ve found a new program to use! So it will be posted today and we can chat online using Strong Truths!

• I’d like to welcome Tracey Dahl as my new Editor and Communications Director! When your work is edited, it will be edited by myself Gene Marie, as well as Tracey Dahl. We both edit in different ways and similar ways, we will also post comments on your work. Once your piece has been edited the original will be posted on your page, with a download link for the revised file. An alert will be posted at the top of your page. • I added a ‘last updated’ date and time at the top of almost all the page so you know when I was last on your page working and posting.
• Who Am I speech example posted. I posted a short exert of Tracey Dahl’s Who Am I speech? (Thank you so much Tracey) Please thank Tracey for being kind enough to post her speech to help everyone else out when it comes to writing their Who Am I?. • I wanted to tell everyone that I am an editor by nature and as a profession, so I will also be editing your work. I do not make changes without posting that I have made the change or will make a change. If you would like to edit with me (recommended) I use IM (msn messenger, and occasionally yahoo messenger) If you would like to do this contact me and we can arrange a time to meet online to edit your work and discuss what I think needs to be revised. July 25th 2008

• I am asking all writers to write a “who am I?” speech (at least two good sized paragraphs, but not limited to). It’s a response to the question. It is not an about me statement, none of that ‘Hi, I’m Sarah from Ohio I’m 15, I like reading and swimming’ lol. It’s a written piece about who you are as a person as a whole. It’s a speech that tells who you are using your talent with words, it is not a simple writing, it is a complex in depth speech of who you are. All of those things you would never tell anyone; it’s what makes you write, what led you to where you are–your Strong Truths. If you are uncomfortable about this or have any questions contact me. More information will be posted. Perhaps I’ll post a fake who am I? speech. After all I am a writer I can make one up lol.
• Also, I would like everyone to write a few lines about each piece they contribute, this will be for the readers to know what inspired you to write the poem or story.

• I updated this blog…I added a poetry page where everyone can view a sample of the poetry that will be within the upcoming Strong Truths book.
• There is a form you can fill out if you would like to join Strong Truths.
• Contributors will all have a paged (locked for only them and I) to use to organize their submissions and communicate with me as well.
• A Members Area has been created for all of you who have contacted me, please check this out, if you’re not on the contributors list or have not heard anything from me contact me at gen_training@yahoo.ca.

Spread the word everyone, we just may be more than a book publication, but a movement as well!
